Stay at the Hotel Las Almenas when you travel to this historic city in southern Spain. It’s a recently opened 3 star Granada, Spain hotel well located just south of the city centre, within walking distance of the historic Jewish neighbourhood called El Realejo, the cathedral, and the Royal Chapel of Granada. The Hotel Las Almenas is a modern hotel equipped with a lift, a luggage room, and a 24-hour reception desk. The friendly staff can provide room service, laundry and ironing service, currency exchange, car rental, concierge services, and shuttle service to and from the Granada Airport (officially called Federico García Lorca Airport). Garage parking is available for a fee if reserved in advance. On the menu at the Las Almenas Restaurant are a variety of dishes drawn from the traditional cuisine of Granada and Andalusia. This hotel has a great location on a major street called the Acera del Darro, or Darro sidewalk, named for the Darro River that flows into Granada. Along the street are restaurants, tapas bars, and a popular department store called El Corte Inglés. Directly to the east is the Realejo district, known for its picturesque Andalusian villas. To the north of the Hotel Las Almenas is the city’s historic centre, around the Granada Cathedral and the Royal Chapel (Capilla Real) where the Catholic Monarchs, Isabella and Ferdinand, are buried. The Alhambra Palace and the Generalife are approx. 1.3 km/0.8 mile east of the hotel.
